Mike Grau is a senior financial executive with over 30 years of experience in the areas of public accounting, commercial lending and management consulting.  Over the course of his career, Mike has performed financial, operational, managerial and collateral evaluations of hundreds of businesses throughout a broad range of industries.  

 

Mike’s industry experience includes transportation, energy, construction, metals, plastics, fiberglass, lumber, chemicals, textiles, consumer products, telecom, agriculture, real estate, media, aerospace, outsourcing services, and food manufacturing. In addition to working with typical business structures, Mike has worked with cooperatives and understands the unique aspects of dealing the patrons, management, lenders and other stakeholders in those relationships.

Mike has worked as interim CFO and CRO for several manufacturing and service companies, managed liquidity crises, restructured debt, led mergers and acquisitions, developed and executed turnaround plans, implemented best practices in the areas of accounting and finance, developed key operating metrics, and implemented cost-saving operating initiatives for his clients.

 

Mike is experienced in all types of restructuring – including bankruptcy, receiverships, and out of court wind downs. He has coordinated merger and acquisition activity, asset sales, and business wind-downs.

In addition to his turnaround consulting and public accounting experience, Mike worked for over ten years as an asset-based lender in various senior level positions.  His background in finance includes time with both domestic and international banks and includes all aspects of underwriting, portfolio management, loan workout and portfolio sales.
 

Mike also worked for a Fortune 500 supplier of axle, drive shaft, engine, frame, chassis and transmission technologies, and has direct experience with automotive suppliers.

Mike is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
